Georgian People’s Artist Vakhtang Kikabidze refused “Friendship” order awarded by Russian President on 70th anniversary of singer on July 19. Giorgi Gabashvli, Head of Committee on Education, Culture and Sport of Georgian Parliament said. He noted that singer decided to refuse order and cancel concerts in Russia because of Russia’s military operations in Georgia. Kikabidze is on holiday in Batumi at present and he stressed that he respected Russian people, but he could not receive the order after last aggressions of Russia against Georgia. /APA/
