Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov said.
Kazakhstan oil of Kashagan field should be transported through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in 2011", Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov said. To him, this will also depend on volume of oil extraction and situation in the region. Kazakhstan hopes for recent stabilization of the situation in the region, Novosti-Azerbaijan informed. “Parliament has ratified Kazakhstan’s joining to BTC. However there are problems in realization of the project. The investors had to begin extraction before 2005. And then we could surely say that pumping of Kazakh oil through BTC pipeline will start on the fixed time. But we see some delays in the project. Thus realization of the project can be delayed till 2013”, S.Primbetov added. The ambassador also emphasized that the leadership of Kazakhstan takes serious measures to investors for realization of the project in the scheduled time.
