Next attack of wolves in Neftchala region
The fact that Khazarkend village is located near the forest reserve Gizilaghaj doubles the threat.

Attacks of wolves have become intensive in the remote Khazarkend village of Azerbaijani Neftchala region. The fact that the village is located near the forest reserve Gizilaghaj doubles the threat as well. The villagers say they avoid being in pastures not only at nights but also in the daytime. They also say these animals have not been hunted since 15-20 years.

Remind that, wolves attacked Khazarkend village of Azerbaijani Neftchala region at around 4 am on December 22. The resident of the village –Ramig Hasanov, 26, saw the wolves attacking the cattle in the yard rushed into the yard and managed to kill the animal through throttling.

The lab examinations carried out later showed that the animal wounded R.Hasanov was infected hydrophobia. Chief of the regional Veterinary Office Abulfaz Malikov informed they have applied relevant departments to increase fight against wolves in the area.

“We have also applied Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources as well as Hunters’ Union that the village is located near the forest reserve Gizilaghaj and the number of beasts has increased here. The villagers say wolves appear in packs. SomSHIRALOIetimes the packs comprise even 15-20 wolves”.

Chief of the village municipal Dadashbala Sadigov considers the fight against the beasts should be increased within the village municipal. “We vcan hunt the beasts, if allowed. The situation is  related with the forest reserve especially. And the village is located near the forest reserve”.
