Applicants will also be required to pass computer science exam.
The entrance exams for master studies in local universities will be conducted on two-step basis, the deputy chairman of the State Commission on Student Admission Namig Babayev told ANS PRESS. According to him, the new regulations will differ from previous ones. Applicants will have to pass computer science exam. The exams will be conducted in two stages. The first stage includes exams on foreign languages, logic and computer science. After scoring required points in the first stage, the student will pass to the the second stage where he or she will have to take specialty exams. The aim of conducting the entrance exams in two stages, says Babayev, is to facilitate the admission of competent applicants to master studies. Babayev said that the minimum required score was not decided yet. In addition, the deputy chairman also informed that the students could also apply for 475 vacant positions in master studies starting from tomorrow. The deadline for applications is on January 16.
