Kazakhstan’s special service detained the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Alma-Ata INFO” Ramazan Esergepov. He is accused of spreading state secrets. Press service of Kazakhstan’s Committee of National Security (KNS) spread information that criminal caseabout Ramazan Esergepov has been launched. The information said that R.Esergepov gave information about secret operations concerning different criminasl cases of Jambul regional department of CNS on the pages of the newspaper “Alma-Ata INFO” and Internet on November 21, 2008. An article “Who leads the country: the President or CNS?” was published in the mentioned issue of the newspaper. The article also included the service letter of the chief of Jambul regional department of CNS.
